I write horror stories that are girly, bloody, and heart-centered.
Current Projects
ESTHER AWAKE AT NIGHT is a 71,000 word YA horror manuscript about a fearful teen girl of the late nineties who must navigate the typical horrors of a slumber party, as well as life-threatening ones, as her sleepwalking best friend begins to “sleep-kill.”
The story is warm with my nostalgia for BFFs, crushes, and 90s pop culture, and works through adolescent themes of shame, overwhelming change, and desperation to be understood. This is my first novel-length manuscript and I am seeking agent representation.
“Aldridge is a fresh, striking, and wildly inventive new voice in horror and her tantalizing debut is not to be missed!”
– May Cobb,
author of THE HUNTING WIVES

Work
CUTTER (watch below) is a short film about a teenage cutter in recovery and her overbearing mother who are haunted by a ghost who seeks to keep them at odds. I co-wrote and co-directed alongside my friend Dan Repp, and my experience with self-harm as a teenager informed the story, helping me to transform some difficult memories.
CUTTER screened at 85 film festivals (World Premiere: 2021 Chattanooga Film Festival) and received awards including Best Short at Sick Chick Flicks Film Festival, Best Screenplay at Romford Horror Festival, and Best Drama at Ethereal Horror Fest.
